From Genesis to Revelation, from beginning to end, the longing of Gods heart was to be with His people, establish His presence in the earth, and be ruler of a people who strived whole-heartedly for His presence. He desired a people of integrity. God created man and man walked away. God sent His son to walk among His chosen people who ruthlessly nailed Him to the cross, unaware of the face of their savior. The ark of the covenant broke, the temple fell, and Jesus Christ was crucified. The presence of God came to fill the very beings of those who accept Him, yet every moment people reject the very identity of God. Sin alienated man from God. Alienation from God separated man, not only from his creator, but from his very identity and purpose. â€Å"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them† (Gen 1:27 NIV). The essence of mankind is found in the creator of the universe, the lover of our souls. Since the fall of man, society has sought tirelessly to find purpose, identity, fulfillment, and answers that solve the questions of each generation. Inevitably, this search has only broadened due to the increase of messages and so called â€Å"answers† which are continually surrounding every culture. The very desire of God’s heart is to be close to His people, to have His presence known on the earth.
